Understanding Scrum in Agile - Understanding the 3 characteristics of Empiricism, exploring Agile values and principles, discovering the Scrum flow and alternative scrum flows, experiencing each scrum meeting and their outcomes, exploring release management with a traditional Scrum flow, understanding the scrum roles, 5 levels of Agile Planning, exploring the Agile Artifacts, building a sprint goal, creating balance between new features and functions with process improvement, bug fixes, and team development. We will also dive into Definition of Done (DoD), Definition of Ready (DoR), and team working agreements. We will explore the Scrum of Scrums and approaches to scaling Scrum to an organizational level.
Working with Scrum Teams - Exploring self-managed teams, Understanding the 4 levels of team self organization, the Tuckman Model, developing Scrum teams, building a facilitation mindset, exploring collaborative conflict, avoiding conformity damage, learn how to make conflict more constructive and meaningful for the Scrum team, approaches to coaching an Agile team, questions to ask your Product Owner to see if they are on track, and questions to ask the Scrum team to develop productivity.
Managing the Product with Agility - Explore how the product vision, product roadmap, story map, and product backlog are all connected and how to use them to build an effective and productive team. Discover the Agile vision board, build a product roadmap, explore the iceberg theory for managing a Product Backlog, Using DAPPER and INVEST on your product backlog, and understand the differences between Plan-Driven” and “Value-Driven”. We will also explore the different levels of Agile forecasting and approaches for forecasting in Agile. Solving the contingency paradox in value-driven planning.
Developing and Delivering - Explore emergent development and how to think about architecture in an emergent environment. We will discover approaches for Agile risk management including identification, assessment, and prioritization. Understanding how to deploy risk techniques to reduce the overall risk and how testing strategies affect risk. Discover Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) concepts and approaches. Explore Scrum-ban and build a Scrum-ban board with workflow stages and WIP limits. Learn about using scrum-ban effectively with the traditional Scrum meetings. Discover the principals of Continuous improvement, and learn change management approaches and techniques.
Evolving Agile in an Organization - This course covers how to expand Scrum into an organization with evidence-based management (EBM), discovering and using measurements to improve team performance, build metrics for success, discover the retrospective value and how to harness it for better team effectiveness, and discuss potential metrics for measuring your Scrum performance. We will also explore the problem-solving process and techniques.
A Day in the Life of A Scrum Leader: Certification Exam Prep - Discovering the Scrum Leader certification process and steps needed to complete the Scrum Leader certification, approaches to studying for the certification, real-life scenario-based exercises on how the Scrum Leader would resolve the team problems outlined in the scenario, review test questions, and provide further study resources.
