“You should, should, should, you know”
One of my badass techniques talks about "Don't Should on Each Other". Everyone seems to know what the right thing is but saying those infamous words "You should..." but the person who hears those words begins to doubt their abilities, not feel valued and demeaning.
It's hard to build a relationship on "You should...". Being collaborative means "We". Finding new opportunities means "can". So let's change the way we speak to each other. Let's replace "You should..." with the words "We can..."
Just saying those words creates a better relationship and an environment of collaboration. Better collaborative relationships is the foundation of break through innovation and creativity.
